Beck Electric Supply is pleased to offer a number of fluorescent fixtures
that are marine rated, specifically designed to withstand harsh environments. Our
maritime customers demand a particular quality of fluorescent fixture that
will withstand the harsh environments of the sea. Most of the fluorescent
fixtures that we sell ultimately are installed aboard container ships, tankers,
ferries, navy vessels, tugs, barges, fishing boats or offshore oil platforms. Pauluhn
Electric has made a reputation for themselves in the marine
industry by making bullet proof fixtures and incorporating many innovative
features into their products. Most of these fixtures are impact resistant,
non-corrosive, UV stabilized and have polycarbonate diffusers for superior
impact resistance. In addition, they have stainless steel hardware,
watertight silicone gasketing and are available in many different lamp, voltage
and ballast configurations.
Many of these fixture meet USCG, ABS, UL1570, UL1598 and IP67 approval ratings.
In addition, we are pleased to sell a number of Amerillum high bay fluorescent
fixture models and have recently taken advantage of PG&E’s utility
rebate program to retrofit our warehouse. (Many public utility services
have been offering substantial rebates of up to $100 per fixture in recent
years) Rebates like this make retrofits very affordable, literally paying
for themselves in a couple of years. With today’s high output
T5 and T8 fluorescent technology, many commercial and industrial facilities
are replacing their high bay HID fixtures with much more energy efficient
fluorescent fixtures. These 4, 6 or 8 lamp fixtures use less than half
the energy of traditional HPS or Metal Halide HID units and increase the lumen
level substantially.
